Cultural
Crossroad

case study

"Maison de maitre"

project type

Brussels

Location

To support the move of an energetic family of six, including two adults, four children, and a cat, from Paris to a charming residence in Brussels, we envisioned a layout concept named "The Cultural Crossroad". This vision pays tribute to their shared love for adventure, gastronomy, books, and music, while ensuring a functional and warm setting.
Located at the heart of the home, the kitchen is designed as the hub of family and friendly interactions. The main living room, equipped with an extended bench, promises a cozy welcome for guests at mealtime. Opposite this, custom-made furniture includes a coffee corner and various storage solutions, enhancing treasures collected from travels, family collections, and a selection of books. Extending from here, a quiet corner overlooking the garden offers a peaceful haven for relaxation and literary pursuits. This space is designed to encourage tranquility and personal escapism. On the first floor, a multifunctional living room serves as a dedicated space for music, cinema, and board games.
As for the bedrooms, they are personalized according to the passions and dreams of each child, creating a unique space conducive to play, learning, and friendship. It is designed to reflect the personality and passions while stimulating creativity, personal development, and communal well-being in a practical and harmonious environment.
